For the eighth year in a row, Ames Construction is a platinum-level recipient of the Safe Contractor of the Year Award from the National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC). The award is the highest honor for safety excellence in the rail contracting industry.

Ames was recognized at NRC’s annual conference in early January in Marco Island, Florida. Accepting the award for Ames were Curtis Bilow, Executive Vice President; Zach Huhmann, Operational Risk & Wellness Director; Cody Moore, Preconstruction Manager; Mike Pamperin, Pursuits & Preconstruction Manager; Eric Hasemeyer, Business Development Manager; and T. Craig Morgan, Vice President, Freight Rail & Industrial Development.

Also at the conference, Ames’ Curtis Bilow moderated a fireside chat with NRC Chairman Joe Daloisio and CSX President and CEO Joe Hinrichs.

“We are grateful to Joe Hinrichs for the insightful conversation with Joe Daloisio and me about the advancements at CSX and the #ONECSX culture,” Bilow says. “Our discussion covered safety, customer service, innovation, and the vital role of contractors and suppliers in this industry. Thanks Joe!”
