As the prime contractor for this fast-tracked high-grade rod and ball mill project for a Colorado gold mine, Ames performed turnkey construction at a site 10,000 feet above sea level.
Ames was responsible for all foundations, building erection, and mechanical and electrical installation through commissioning and start-up. The project required crews to work in mountainous terrain through harsh winter months to keep the schedule on track.
Mill construction proceeded simultaneously with a related valley leach facility project also performed by Ames.
