This three-phased water treatment plant project included civil and mechanical packages and required that the work be conducted within an operational facility with minimal scheduled outages for construction.
Ames performed structural demolition and replacement of the treatment facility’s East plant. The project required structural shoring and over-excavation of the plant area and replacement of the native material by processing it with cement in the form of CSA (calcium sulfoaluminate cement).
Work scope included excavation, fine grading, CSA processing and backfilling, site work, utility demolition, installation of temporary utilities, new underground utilities, mechanical piping, and new chemical facilities.
