As the general contractor for this gold mining and milling complex, Ames successfully executed three separate contracts.
Under the first contract, Ames was responsible for realignment and reconstruction of 11.5 miles of a county road through mountainous terrain.
The second contract involved site preparation, excavation including blasting material to fills, construction of in-plant roads, and supply and installation of underground utility piping and drainage piping.
The third contract included the supply and placement of structural concrete. Ames produced all of the concrete aggregates, setting up and operating an on-site concrete batch plant. Additional aggregate processing was performed to support leach pad construction. The work scope included construction of all structural concrete foundations, walls, and floor slabs, including the primary crusher, process plant, truck shop/warehouse, diesel fuel storage area, and several ancillary buildings. Finally, Ames installed multiplate arch culverts for an overland conveyor system.
